Register Here for Member Night!

The Railroad Park sincerely appreciates the continued support of our valued members. As a thank you, we would like to cordially invite you to a free night of Holiday Lights.
  • Members will be required to register online via ActiveNet to attend and will have a choice of 6 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. as an arrival time.
  • All members will be able to reserve up to 4 tickets. Kids 2 and younger always enter for free, so you don’t need to include them in your ticket count.
  • If you have paid for a membership with 5 or more people, please email us at therailroadpark@scottsdaleaz.gov and a member of our staff will assist with getting you registered.
  • We will not be selling tickets this year for additional family members that want to attend Members Night. This will help limit the crowd size and maintain wait times.
  • Members will receive a 50% discount on tickets for all other Holiday Lights nights.
You will not need to have any digital or printed tickets to enter the event. When you arrive your name will be on a list at our check-in table.

History

The Scottsdale Railroad and Mechanical Society was chartered in 1971 by Mr. Guy Stillman as a non-profit civic support organization to provide assistance with the development of the then McCormick Railroad Park through volunteer labor and donations. Among the first projects the Society took on and completed was the construction of the train shed building in 1971. The building houses the railroad equipment and a full service machine shop, and even an apartment for the park’s first engineer and railroad mechanic. Through the years, the Scottsdale Railroad and Mechanical Society were responsible for the acquisition of nearly all of the park’s amenities including:

  • Snackstop Caboose
  • Partnership Tunnel
  • Roald Amundsen Pullman Car
  • The Peoria Depot
  • Magma Locomotive

  • Birthday Cabooses
  • Picnic Ramadas
  • Scottsdale Charros Carousel
